John 15:4 — “Abide in me, and I in you.”
If your heart feels scattered, pause and abide.. breathe, pray, reflect, rest in Christ’s presence. Bring Him into your thoughts instead of letting the day run wild.
“Abide” means stay, remail, dwell… settle your soul in the presence of Jesus the way a branch settles into the life of a vine.
A branch doesn’t strain or strategize to produce fruit; fruit naturally forms because the branch remains connected to its source. The Christian life works the same way. Disconnection leads to exhaustion. Connection leads to growth.
Jesus isn’t calling you to productivity; He’s calling you to proximity. The results follow the relationship.
Jesus, teach me how to stay close to You. Settle my heart in Your presence and let Your life flow through me. Strengthen the places where I’m weak and steady the places where I wander. Grow in me what I cannot grow on my own. Keep me rooted in You today. Amen.
